Kakadu Day Trip

Kakadu National Park is the Top End’s great World Heritage wilderness — a landscape of wetlands, escarpment and some of the oldest rock art on Earth. It sits about 2.5 to 3 hours east of Darwin, so a day trip is a big, rewarding day out. Focus on one or two highlights: the galleries at Ubirr or Nourlangie (Burrungguy), a cruise on the Yellow Water billabong, or a waterfall. With so much to see, many visitors give Kakadu more than a day.
