Why a weekend works
The Scenic Rim rewards a slower pace. With the valleys spread between the ranges, two or three days lets you mix a morning walk with an afternoon of farm gates and a long lunch, without spending the whole time in the car.
A loose plan
- Day one: a lookout or rainforest walk in Main Range or the Moogerah Peaks, then settle into a farm stay or country pub.
- Day two: the farm-gate and cellar-door trail through the Fassifern Valley, with a stop at Summer Land Camels.
- Day three: a relaxed wander through Boonah or Kalbar before heading home.
