Who operates this Australia Zoo tour?+
Cooee Tours offers this Australia Zoo day tour under our Cooee Nature thread, in partnership with Sunshine Coast Bus Lines (SCBL), our Waggie Group sister brand based at Kunda Park. SCBL provides coaches and drivers; Cooee designs the tour content, provides guide commentary on the journey, and is the single point of contact for booking, payment, and customer service. Cooee is not affiliated with Australia Zoo — we are an authorised re-seller of zoo entry as part of the tour package. Both brands operate to professional safety and quality standards under Waggie Group governance. Brisbane-based since 1974, family-owned.
What is the Aboriginal Country of Beerwah?+
Beerwah, where Australia Zoo is located, sits on Jinibara Country. The Jinibara people are the recognised traditional custodians of the Blackall Range hinterland and the Glass House Mountains region. Mt Beerwah, the highest peak in the Glass House Mountains (556m), gives its name to the suburb and is central to the Jinibara Tibrogargan Dreaming as the pregnant mother of the family. Our tour commentary acknowledges Jinibara Country on the journey to and from the zoo.
