Wildlife & Nature
Noosa National Park is one of the best places in South East Queensland to see koalas in the wild — sighting rates are approximately 90% on Cooee guided walks (population ~50-60 koalas in the National Park as of 2026 census). Dolphins are regular in the Noosa River and along the headland year-round. From July to October, humpback whales migrate past the coast and can be spotted from headland lookouts (Dolphin Point, Hell's Gates) — a Sunshine Coast Council whale-watching hotspot. Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve (55 hectares of subtropical rainforest at Maleny) is home to pademelons, brush turkeys, regent bowerbirds, lyrebirds, and occasional carpet pythons. The Noosa Coastal Explorer is the best single Cooee tour for wildlife.

Seniors & Relaxed Pace
The Paradise Tour and Mooloolaba Family Beaches involve minimal walking and are ideal for seniors. Mary Cairncross boardwalk is fully wheelchair-accessible (240m elevated boardwalk loop through rainforest). All Cooee/SCBL coaches are air-conditioned with reclining seats and a maximum capacity of 12 guests so the pace adapts to the slowest walker. Cooee can arrange senior-paced itineraries with extra rest stops, accessible restrooms, and unhurried lunch breaks. Inform Cooee at booking of any mobility considerations.
