Queensland has two distinct premium wine regions, both within day-tour range of Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast — and our tours give you the best of both. The Sunshine Coast Hinterland (Montville, Maleny, on the Blackall Range, about 1.5 hours from Brisbane) sits at higher elevations producing bright, cool-climate-influenced wines. The South Burnett (Moffatdale, Murgon, around 3 hours from Brisbane) sits on red volcanic soils at 400 metres, with warm days and cool nights producing some of Queensland's most decorated boutique reds and whites.
Our headline winery, Dusty Hill Vineyard, was planted by the Schoenborn family on a windswept hillside above Lake Barambah during the seventh year of a drought. From that dusty hill they've built one of Queensland's most acclaimed boutique wineries — complete with the Irish Tavern restaurant, cellar door, and on-site boutique accommodation. It's still entirely family-owned, and it shows in everything from the wine to the welcome.
We've been running premium Queensland day tours from Brisbane since 1989. Yes — Dusty Hill Vineyard at 80 Waterview Drive, Moffatdale is the headline destination on our Full Day Wine Tour Experience and selected Private Tours. The Schoenborn family planted their first vines during the seventh year of a drought on a dusty hillside above Lake Barambah. Today it's one of Queensland's most awarded boutique wineries, with the famous Irish Tavern restaurant, cellar door, and on-site accommodation available as an overnight upgrade.
