Noosa's wild koalas and turquoise calm. Eumundi's 600-stall market institution. Hinterland villages at 450 metres above the coast. Ancient volcanic peaks rising from the plain. The Sunshine Coast has more layers than any other Queensland region β and the right guide reveals all of them.
See All Tours Find Your TourThe Sunshine Coast's most extraordinary experiences are not the ones on the obvious tourist map. Noosa National Park's coastal track is free, clearly marked, and visited by thousands β but the people who see wild koalas from it and the people who don't are separated almost entirely by knowing which trees to look at, and when. Eumundi Markets runs every Wednesday and Saturday, but arriving at 10am on a Saturday in January is a fundamentally different experience to arriving at 8am on a Wednesday in May. The Blackall Range hinterland is 20 minutes from the coast, but without local knowledge of Kondalilla versus Mapleton versus Maleny and the drive timing that makes both work in a single day, most visitors see one of three and leave.
Our guides have been navigating the Sunshine Coast for fifteen years. The koala sighting rate on our Noosa walks. The Eumundi stall holders who've been there since 1986. The escarpment lookout in Maleny at 4pm when the Glass House Mountains catch the western sun. These things don't appear in a guidebook because they require presence and repetition to discover. They appear in your Cooee Tours day.
The essential Sunshine Coast day β Noosa National Park coastal walk with wild koala spotting, Noosa Main Beach, Hastings Street, and a hinterland stop at Montville. Eumundi Markets included on Wednesday and Saturday departures.
Everything in the Classic tour plus a two-course winery lunch with matched wine pairings, a Maleny Dairies artisan cheese stop, an additional hinterland producer visit, and morning tea credit at Eumundi. The full Sunshine Coast food and nature experience.
A tour dedicated entirely to Noosa β more time in the national park, more time on Hastings Street, and a longer coastal walk with extended wildlife stops. The choice for visitors who've already done Eumundi and want to go deeper into Noosa itself.
Boutique wineries in the Blackall Range hinterland β Flaxton Gardens, Flame Hill Vineyard, and selected cellar doors β with guided tastings, a curated lunch option, and the range's finest views. The Sunshine Coast experience most visitors never find.
Eleven ancient volcanic plugs rising from the coastal plain β extraordinary geology, Kabi Kabi cultural significance, and the finest panoramic viewpoints in Southeast Queensland. Combines naturally with a Sunshine Coast stay and pairs perfectly with a Noosa day.
Your group, your itinerary, your pace. Private Sunshine Coast tours combine any elements from across our range β Noosa, Eumundi, hinterland villages, wineries, Glass House Mountains β into a single bespoke day designed around your interests. Ideal for couples, families, and special occasions.
Every Wednesday and Saturday, the small heritage town of Eumundi becomes one of Australia's great open-air market experiences. 600+ stalls, live music from 8am, and 45 years of artisan culture accumulated in the one place. This is not "a market stop on the way to Noosa." This is a destination that some guests travel to Queensland specifically to visit.
Our Classic and Gourmet tours depart on Wednesday and Saturday specifically to include Eumundi as a first stop. Arrival before 9am means the best produce stalls, the most atmospheric music, and the kind of authentic community character that disappears when the busloads arrive at 11am. Morning tea credit is included on the Gourmet tour.
For visitors who arrive at Eumundi expecting "a market" and leave three hours later with cheese, olive oil, handmade jewellery, fresh-ground coffee, and a sourdough loaf β this is the normal Eumundi experience. Don't underestimate it.
Noosa National Park's 4,000 hectares of coastal heath and paperbark forest is one of the most accessible genuine koala habitats in Queensland. The resident population along the 2.7km coastal track is well-established β our guides have been monitoring the same trees for years and the sighting rate on guided walks is extraordinarily high.
These are wild animals in a functioning ecosystem β not a managed encounter, not a zoo. The koalas resting in the fork of a paperbark branch above the coastal track, ten metres from your shoulder, are doing exactly what they'd be doing if you weren't there. The difference between groups who see them and groups who don't is almost entirely down to guide knowledge of which trees to check, and at what point on the track.
On our Noosa National Park walks, we also encounter sea eagles (regular), glossy black-cockatoos (seasonal), echidnas (occasional), and dolphins visible from the Hells Gates clifftop lookout. Spring (AugustβOctober) brings koala mothers with joeys β the most frequently photographed wildlife sighting across all our Sunshine Coast tours.
Book Noosa Day Trip β from $14920 minutes behind the beach strip, the Sunshine Coast becomes an entirely different place. The Blackall Range rises to 450 metres above sea level across a 50km ridge of subtropical rainforest, heritage villages, artisan producers, boutique wineries, and waterfall walks that most coastal visitors never discover. Our hinterland-focused tours β the Gourmet Tour and the Wine Tour β treat this as the primary destination rather than an add-on, and the difference in depth of experience is significant.
The hinterland's most-visited heritage village β 450m elevation, Glass House Mountains view, galleries, artisan food producers, and cafΓ©s in a beautifully preserved tin-roofed streetscape. Featured on Classic and Gourmet tours.
The range's most community-minded town β Maleny Dairies artisan cheese, the finest Glass House Mountains view in the region, and a Maple Street that rewards unhurried exploration. Featured on Gourmet and Wine tours.
A 90-metre cascade in ancient hoop pine forest β 2.7km return walk, natural rock pool, and subtropical rainforest that couldn't feel more remote from the beach 20km east. Available on private tours and 3-day itinerary guests.
Our day-by-day 3-day Sunshine Coast itinerary covers Noosa, the Blackall Range hinterland, and the Glass House Mountains in the optimal order β with insider timing notes and practical planning advice.

The Sunshine Coast is genuinely excellent year-round β but each season changes what's best about it. Here's how to match your visit to the experience you're after.
Beach season at its peak β warm ocean, vibrant Hastings Street, Eumundi at maximum atmosphere. Afternoon thunderstorms are frequent. Do the national park walk early. School holiday crowds in DecemberβJanuary β book ahead.
Our genuine recommendation. Humidity drops, temperatures are perfect (22β26Β°C), the ocean stays warm through April, and the hinterland is at its most atmospheric β morning mist, afternoon light on the range, wildflowers starting in the heath. Shoulder season pricing.
Spectacularly clear days. Whale watching season begins in June. Hinterland mornings are crisp and beautiful. Best cellar door experience of the year. Ocean cool but all other experiences unaffected. July school holidays bring brief crowds.
Wildflowers in the national park heath. Koala mothers with joeys (AugβOct). Whale watching through October. Ocean warming from November. Noosa Triathlon (October) adds event energy. Shoulder pricing before December peak.
"The koala sighting was genuinely one of the most moving wildlife experiences of my life. Our guide stopped the group about 10 metres from the tree, told us to look up slowly β and there were two koalas sleeping in the fork, completely unbothered by us. Then we looked across to the next tree and there was another. Three wild koalas in ten minutes. I was not prepared."
"The Gourmet Tour was extraordinary. Eumundi at 8:30am β still quiet, music playing, the best sourdough I've ever eaten still warm from the baker's bag. Noosa National Park walk with koalas. Then a two-course lunch at a hinterland restaurant with wine pairings from producers I'd never heard of. This is how the Sunshine Coast should be experienced."
"I've lived in Brisbane for eight years and always drove to Noosa myself. The guided tour showed me things I'd walked past dozens of times without understanding β the koala habitat signs, the specific paperbark tree species, the reason Noosa managed to stay the way it is. The guide's knowledge turned a day I thought I knew into something completely new."
Six tours covering every aspect of Queensland's most rewarding coastal region. Hotel pickup from Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, expert local guides, small groups of max 14, and free 48-hour cancellation on all departures.
