What's the minimum group size?
Our Essential package requires a minimum of 8 guests. Premium requires 10+, and Corporate packages are designed for groups of 15-50+. For smaller groups, our standard wine tours welcome individuals, couples, and groups up to 16.
Does Cooee Tours operate group wine tours directly?
Yes — across Queensland (Mt Tamborine, Granite Belt, Scenic Rim, South Burnett), Cooee Tours operates group wine tours directly with our own coaches, our own drivers, and our own dedicated event coordinators. You deal with one operator from your first enquiry to the final toast.
For interstate wine regions (Hunter Valley NSW, Yarra Valley VIC, Barossa Valley SA, Margaret River WA), we coordinate with a curated partner network and remain your single point of contact throughout. ATAS-accredited consumer protection applies to every booking.
How far in advance should we book?
We recommend booking 4-6 weeks in advance, especially for weekends and peak seasons. Peak periods to book early:
• Christmas party season (October-December)
• EOFY corporate events (April-June)
• Bridal & hens season (March-May, September-November)
• Granite Belt spring (September-November)
We can sometimes accommodate shorter-notice bookings depending on availability. Get in touch to check.
Can you accommodate dietary requirements?
Absolutely. We work with all venues to accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal, kosher, and allergy requirements. Please advise at booking so we can ensure every guest is catered for.
What's the cancellation policy?
Full refund if cancelled 14+ days before your tour. 50% refund for 7-14 days' notice. No refund for less than 7 days' notice. Date changes are subject to availability. See our full terms and conditions. ATAS-accredited consumer protection applies to every booking.
Can we bring our own alcohol?
BYO alcohol is not permitted as all wine and drinks are provided through the wineries visited. However, wines purchased during the tour can be safely transported back in our vehicles — many groups buy a few cases to take home.
Do you offer group wine tours outside Queensland?
Yes — interstate group wine tours are available via our curated partner network. We coordinate end-to-end with specialist partner operators in:

• Yarra Valley (VIC)
• Barossa Valley (SA)
• Margaret River (WA)
You deal with one operator (us), receive one invoice, and benefit from ATAS-accredited consumer protection on every booking. Honest framing: in Queensland we operate directly; interstate we coordinate via partners. Contact us for interstate group pricing.
Where does the tour depart from?
Queensland group tours include pickup from Gold Coast and Brisbane hotels and major locations. Custom pickup points can be arranged for larger groups (15+). Sunshine Coast departures available on request.
What about responsible service of alcohol?
All Cooee Tours wine tour staff hold valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification. Our partner wineries also operate under RSA standards. We reserve the right to discontinue tastings for any guest showing signs of intoxication, in the interest of their safety and the group's enjoyment. Food is provided at every tour to support responsible tasting.
