Planning notes
The Cook Islands are the low-key Pacific option — no building on Rarotonga is taller than a coconut palm, by law. Direct flights from Sydney make it straightforward for Australians, and English and New Zealand dollars remove most friction. Aitutaki is the reason to extend the trip; Rarotonga alone sells it short. April to November is the drier window.
