How our America tours work

These aren't fixed-departure coach tours. Each trip below is a framework we tailor to your dates, pace and budget — then design, book and support end to end. The specialist who quotes your trip is the same person who plans it and stays your contact throughout.

🧭

Tailored, not fixed

Every itinerary is customised to your travel dates, interests and pace. Bespoke design is the default, not an upcharge.

👤

One specialist

A single Brisbane-based Americas specialist designs, books and stays your point of contact from first call to homecoming.

💰

All-in AUD pricing

Flights, accommodation, transfers, guided experiences and entry fees quoted in one Australian-dollar figure — no surprises.

👥

Private or small group

Travel privately as a couple, family or friends. Where a joining group runs, it is capped at 16 guests — never a big coach.

Our America tours by region

Fourteen signature trips spanning the continent, each bookable as a customised private journey. Prices are indicative all-in AUD starting points for the trip as described — your own quote depends on dates, travel style and group size.

🌄 South America

Peru

Cusco, Machu Picchu & the Amazon

📅 14 days💰 from AUD $14,500 / couple

The classic Australian Peru trip — Lima, Cusco and the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, and a jungle lodge in the Tambopata Amazon. Comfortable hotels, small-group touring and internal flights throughout.

Ecuador

Galápagos Cruise & the Andes

📅 12–14 days💰 from AUD $26,500 / couple

Quito and the Ecuadorian highlands paired with a small-ship Galápagos cruise — the world's great wildlife voyage — and an optional Amazon eco-lodge extension. Includes the Galápagos park and transit fees.

Chile & Argentina

Patagonia & the W Trek

📅 14–16 days💰 from AUD $16,500 / couple

Torres del Paine's W Trek, the Perito Moreno glacier and the Fitz Roy trails around El Chaltén. Refugios and hotels, gear rental in Puerto Natales, and altitude- and trek-cover insurance built in.

Brazil & Argentina

Rio, Iguazú & Buenos Aires

📅 12–14 days💰 Specialist quote

Rio de Janeiro's beaches and mountains, the thundering Iguazú Falls from both sides, and the tango-and-steak culture of Buenos Aires and Mendoza. Note the Brazil eVisa now required for Australians.

Multi-country

South America Grand Tour

📅 21 days💰 from AUD $22,500 / couple

Santiago and Patagonia, Buenos Aires, Iguazú, Rio and Cusco with Machu Picchu — the continent's greatest hits in one open-jaw loop, routed to minimise backtracking and internal connections.

Antarctica

Expedition Cruise from Ushuaia

📅 10–12 days💰 from AUD $10,000 pp

The ultimate add-on to a Patagonia trip — a 10–12 day expedition cruise across the Drake Passage to the Antarctic Peninsula. Best booked 12–18 months ahead for cabin choice.

🏔️ North America

USA · Southwest

Southwest Road Trip — the Vegas Loop

📅 14 days💰 from AUD $15,000 / couple

Our most-booked USA trip. A Vegas-to-Vegas circle through Zion, Bryce, Moab, Monument Valley, Antelope Canyon, the Grand Canyon and Sedona — every day mapped, all 2026 park fees accounted for.

USA · West Coast

Pacific Coast Highway

📅 7–21 days💰 Specialist quote

San Diego to Seattle along the PCH — Big Sur, San Francisco, wine country and the Pacific Northwest parks. Four duration options and an open-jaw flight strategy to skip the backtrack.

USA · East Coast

New York, Washington & Boston

📅 10–14 days💰 from AUD $13,800 / couple

The classic Northeast trio by Amtrak — Manhattan, the museums and monuments of Washington DC, and historic Boston, best timed for the autumn foliage.

USA · National Parks

Custom National Park Loops

📅 Flexible💰 from AUD $15,000 / couple

Build a park-focused trip — Greater Yellowstone, the California big three, or the full Southwest — with the USD $250 Non-Resident Annual Pass factored in for the 11 surcharge parks.

Canada

Canadian Rockies — Vancouver to Banff

📅 12 days💰 from AUD $12,500 / couple

A self-drive from Vancouver through Whistler, Jasper, Lake Louise and Banff to Calgary — glacier lakes, gondolas and wildlife-watching, on an open-jaw ticket.

🌴 Central America & the Caribbean

Mexico

Mexico City, Oaxaca & the Yucatán

📅 14 days💰 from AUD $9,800 / couple

The closest and best-value Latin American option — the capital's food and museums, Oaxaca's culture, and the Yucatán's cenotes, ruins and Riviera Maya beaches.

Costa Rica

Family Wildlife & Rainforest

📅 12 days💰 Specialist quote

Eco-lodges, cloud forest zip-lines, volcanoes and Pacific beaches — the Americas' easiest family adventure, with wildlife guides and short internal transfers throughout.

Cuba

Havana, Trinidad & Varadero

📅 10 days💰 from AUD $8,500 / couple

Casa particular stays in Havana and colonial Trinidad, a classic-car tour and a Viñales day trip, finishing on the Varadero beaches. Routed via Mexico or Panama, not the USA.

Why book your America tour with Cooee

Cooee Tours has been family-owned since 1974, and we've been sending Australians across the Americas for years — reconciling the AUD budgets, holding the Inca Trail permits, securing the good Galápagos cabins and the tight Patagonia refugios. You get a single Brisbane-based specialist who designs your trip, books every element, and stays your contact through it, backed by all-in Australian-dollar pricing and support while you travel.

Because every trip is tailored, the price you're quoted is built for your dates, style and group — not a lowest-common-denominator package. And because we book these trips constantly, we know the current entry fees, the shifting park rules, the visa changes (like Brazil's new eVisa for Australians) and the routing tricks that quietly save thousands.

Frequently asked questions

What Australian travellers ask us most about our America tours.

Are these group tours or private trips?
They're tailored private trips. We design each America tour around your own dates, pace, budget and interests — not a fixed departure. When you travel as a small group (family or friends) it stays a private trip for your party; where a small-group joining option exists it's capped at 16 guests. Nothing on this page is a large-coach group tour.
How much does an America tour cost from Australia?
As a rough guide for a two-week trip per couple, all-in from Australia: budget Latin America (Mexico, Peru, Colombia) from around AUD $9,000; mid-range across most destinations AUD $12,000–$18,000; and premium trips such as a Galápagos cruise, luxury Patagonia lodges or high-end USA from AUD $22,000 up. Every trip is quoted individually — see our Americas Budget Guide for the full country-by-country breakdown.
Do the prices include flights from Australia?
When booked through Cooee Tours, the quoted AUD figure is all-in — return flights from Australia, accommodation, internal transport, guided experiences, park and entry fees, and specialist support. If you'd rather book the international flights yourself using frequent flyer points, we deduct the flight cost and build the ground package around it. See our flight routes guide for the routing options.
How far ahead should I book?
For USA trips, 4–6 months minimum for flights and rental cars and 6–12 months for in-park lodges. For Peru and Machu Picchu, 3–4 months for Sacred Valley hotels and Inca Trail permits. For Galápagos cruises, 8–10 months. For Patagonia peak season (November–February), 6–8 months. We recommend starting the conversation at least six months before travel.
Can you combine several countries in one trip?
Yes — multi-country trips are our specialty. Popular combinations include Peru with the Galápagos, Patagonia across Chile and Argentina, and a South America Grand Tour linking Santiago, Patagonia, Buenos Aires, Iguazú, Rio and Machu Picchu. We design the routing to minimise backtracking and internal-flight connections.
Do Australians need visas for these trips?
Mostly no, with one important change: Brazil now requires an eVisa for Australians. The USA needs an ESTA and Canada an eTA; Cuba needs a Tourist Card. Peru, Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia and Mexico are visa-free for Australian tourists. Full detail is in our Americas Visa Guide, and we confirm requirements as part of every booking.
