How far is Cradle Mountain from Launceston?
It’s about 2.5 hours’ drive each way, so a day tour is comfortable if you start early. We handle the driving both ways so you can relax and enjoy the scenery. For more on the route, see getting to Cradle Mountain.
What does the day tour include?
The highlights of the park in a day — time at Dove Lake beneath the jagged peak, a short walk such as the Enchanted Walk, and a chance to spot wombats at Ronny Creek. Tailored and quoted per enquiry — get in touch.
Can you walk the Dove Lake Circuit in a day?
Yes — the Dove Lake Circuit is about 6 km and takes 2–3 hours past the iconic boatshed, which fits a day tour well. If you’d prefer something shorter, we can swap in one of the easier walks instead.
Do we need a park pass or the shuttle?
A Tasmania national-park pass is required, and a shuttle bus runs from the visitor centre to Dove Lake (often mandatory in peak season). On tour we take care of the logistics; see getting around and the shuttle for how it works.
What should I bring?
