2-Day Tour — FAQ

Why choose a two-day tour over a day trip?

Two days let you slow down and see more — sunrise and sunset light on Dove Lake, wildlife at dawn and dusk, and time for a bigger walk such as Marions Lookout. A day tour covers the icon; two days let it breathe.

What is the itinerary?

A typical shape is Dove Lake and short rainforest walks on day one, with wildlife at dusk, then a longer walk or a weather-permitting summit attempt on day two. We tailor it to your fitness and interests and confirm the plan when you enquire — get in touch.

Where do we stay?

You stay overnight near the park so you’re on the spot for early light and evening wildlife. We arrange accommodation to suit your group — see where to stay. Check current availability, as rooms near the park book out.

Can we see Tasmanian devils and wombats?

Very likely — wombats graze at Ronny Creek at dawn and dusk, alongside wallabies, echidnas and pademelons, and there is a Tasmanian devil sanctuary nearby. Staying overnight gives the best chance of quiet wildlife moments.

Is the summit climb included?

It can be, weather permitting — the Cradle summit is a hard, exposed full-day scramble with chain sections, so we only attempt it in good conditions and for those who are fit. If it’s not on, we substitute a great alternative. Tours are quoted per enquiry.
