Australia is a long way from everywhere — but the right hub, routing and stopover turn the journey into part of the holiday.
Plan my flightsAustralia is a long way from everywhere — but the right hub, routing and stopover turn the journey into part of the holiday.
Almost every international trip from Australia runs through one of a handful of hubs. Choose the right one and you shorten the flying, ease the jet lag, and often add a bonus city on the way. Choose the cabin and timing well, and the long haul becomes genuinely comfortable.
We book the flights as part of the whole trip — matching hub to destination, weaving in stopovers, and holding fares while the rest of the plan comes together. Family-run since 1974, with the airline relationships to back it up.
Where you connect shapes the whole trip. Explore where each hub leads.
Hub, routing, stopover and cabin — tell us where you're headed and we'll build the smartest way to get there, and hold the fare while you decide.
Start planningFour gateways cover most of the world: Singapore, Dubai and Doha for Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East; and Los Angeles (and Santiago) for the Americas. Perth also flies direct to Johannesburg and, with Qantas' ultra-long-haul routes, to Europe. See our itineraries guide.
From the east coast: Singapore ~8 hrs, Bali ~6–7 hrs, Los Angeles ~13–14 hrs, Dubai/Doha ~14 hrs, Johannesburg ~14 hrs (from Perth ~11). Europe is ~20–24 hrs with one stop. A stopover breaks up the longest hauls beautifully.
Almost always — a night or two in Singapore, Dubai, Doha or Los Angeles resets your body clock, breaks a 20-hour journey, and adds a bonus destination for little extra cost. We build stopovers into long-haul routing as standard.
On flights over ~12 hours, many travellers find premium economy the sweet spot for value, and business transformational for sleep on ultra-long-haul. We advise on the best cabins and routes for your budget and comfort.
Book 3–9 months ahead for the best fares, avoid Australian school holidays where you can, and travel in shoulder season. Multi-leg and round-the-world fares are often better value than separate tickets — we'll compare. See our best time to travel guide.
