What does the from-$880 fare include?
Return coach from Brisbane departing Friday, your driver-guide throughout, two nights' central Toowoomba accommodation at your chosen tier, and the full three-day itinerary. Meals stay yours to choose — Toowoomba dining is half the itinerary's charm.
How does the 3-day differ from the 2-day weekend?
Friday-night arrival and a second night, which re-paces everything: Saturday starts in the gardens instead of on the highway, and Sunday gains a full Downs day reaching Crows Nest, Hampton and the country the 2-day can only sample. From $880 versus from $595.
Is this a good Carnival of Flowers option?
It's the best one we run, if festival immersion is the goal — a full festival Saturday plus the quiet-morning gardens and the Downs, with two Toowoomba evenings in between. Carnival-date allocations sell out earliest of all; book months ahead.
When does it run?
Year-round on selected weekends, Friday evening to Sunday night. Spring (Carnival and jacaranda) and autumn-colour departures are the headline dates.
Where do we stay, and can I have my own room?
Two nights at one central Toowoomba property — no mid-weekend repacking. Twin-share standard, single supplement available; tier and price confirmed before you pay.
How strenuous is the weekend?
Gentle by design: sealed garden paths, coach transfers between everything, and time enough that nothing is hurried. Our most senior-loved itinerary. Tell us about mobility needs at booking and we'll shape the days around them.
Can we charter this privately?
Yes — garden clubs, Probus and friend groups regularly take the long weekend as a private charter with their own dates and pickup. Call 0409 661 342 for a quote.
What should I pack for three days on the Downs?
Real layers — 700 metres means crisp nights most of the year — plus walking shoes, a camera you trust at golden hour, and boot space ambition: between farm gates, bakeries and market stalls, the luggage bay rarely comes home empty.
What's the cancellation policy?
Standard Cooee terms: 100% refund 30+ days out, 50% at 14–29 days, non-refundable within 14 days, free name transfer with 7 days notice. Accommodation-backed departures make late changes hard — book the weekend you mean.
Is the Granite Belt included in the long weekend?
The core itinerary keeps to the Toowoomba region and northern Downs, where the driving stays short and the days stay easy. Granite Belt ambitions — Stanthorpe, the wineries — suit a private charter, where the extra distance can be planned properly. Ask us.
What's the single supplement for solo travellers?
It varies with the accommodation tier you choose, and it's quoted plainly before you pay — no surprises. Solo travellers are regulars on this weekend; the format suits them famously well.
How fit do I need to be for the long weekend?
Comfortably average is plenty: garden strolls on sealed paths, optional short walks in the falls country, and a coach never more than a few minutes away. Every walk on the itinerary has a sit-and-enjoy alternative, and your guide will always tell you honestly what a track involves before you commit to it.
Can you cater the weekend around a special occasion?
Happily — birthdays, anniversaries and retirements ride this itinerary every month. Tell us at booking and we'll help with the details that matter: the right dinner recommendation booked ahead, a cake smuggled into morning tea, or a quiet word to the accommodation. The long weekend format gives celebrations room to breathe.
What's the group size on the 3-day?
Comfortable coach touring — big enough for good company at dinner if you want it, small enough that the guide knows every name by Saturday morning. Private charters can set their own number, from a garden club's minibus to a full coach.
