What to Expect
Escape the coast for a day and discover Tamborine Mountain — an elevated plateau of lush rainforest, boutique vineyards and artisanal distilleries. This tour blends relaxed wine tasting with gentle nature walks, local food and panoramic lookouts.
Your experienced local guide handles all the driving and planning so you can focus on enjoying every stop. Between venues, you'll learn about the mountain's microclimate, its volcanic soil and why it produces such distinctive wines and spirits.
The day is paced for enjoyment, not rushing — with time at each winery to ask questions, a proper sit-down lunch, and a gentle Skywalk through the rainforest canopy before heading back down to the coast.
Full Itinerary (Sample)
- 8:30–9:30 am — Pickup from selected Brisbane and Gold Coast hotels and meeting points. Meet your guide and enjoy the scenic drive into the hinterland.
- 10:00 am — Arrive at Witches Falls Winery for a guided tasting of estate wines and a short cellar-door tour.
- 11:15 am — Travel to Hampton Estate for more tastings and vineyard views. Your guide explains the mountain's cool-climate viticulture.
- 12:30 pm — Lunch at Mason Wines or similar venue — a two-course meal paired with house wines (vegetarian options available).
- 1:45 pm — Visit Tamborine Mountain Distillery for gin and liqueur tastings and a peek behind the scenes at small-batch spirits.
- 2:45 pm — Walk the Rainforest Skywalk — elevated boardwalks woven through sub-tropical canopy.
- 4:00 pm — Photo stop at Hang Gliders Lookout for sweeping views across the Scenic Rim and Gold Coast.
- 4:30 pm — Free time on Gallery Walk to browse galleries, fudge shops and artisan stores.
- 5:00–6:30 pm — Return to pickup points, arriving back in the early evening.
